KING STREET CUFF

Our leather comes from Hermann Oak Leather Co., a family-run tannery
operating in St. Louis since 1881 and one of the last of its kind still working
in the United States. The hides are vegetable-tanned using natural tree bark,
then worked by hand to create a firm, tight-grained finish that develops
richness and character over years of wear.

Our hardware is cast in solid brass, white brass, or white bronze using one
of two traditional methods, depending on the piece. Some pieces are made
through the lost-wax process in New York City’s Diamond District; others are
sand-cast at a family-owned foundry in Idaho. Each piece is finished in our St.
Louis studio to bring out the natural warmth and depth of the metal. The result
is hardware with a story, real weight, and material integrity.

Hardware will naturally patina over time and can be brightened using the
enclosed polishing cloth. Leather should be wiped clean with a dry cloth only.
Leather may initially transfer color onto clothing or other materials during
early wear. Due to the handmade nature of our products, leather color and metal
shape and patina may vary from piece to piece.
